Research and visibility are enhanced by Maths4DL. In addition, the Bath Institute for Mathematical Innovation (IMI) drives a range of interdisciplinary and industrial collaborations, broadening the reach of mathematical sciences across the University and outside academia. These activities are supported by the Centre for Doctoral Training in Statistical Applied Mathematics at Bath (SAMBa), which currently has over 70 PhD students and an annual intake of 10-20 research students. The University is situated in the city of Bath, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and provides for a high quality of life, with good transport links to the rest of the UK and fast connections to Bristol and London.
