Job description: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and efficient Compliance Support Officer to join the Compliance Team, which is part of the Company Secretary/Corporate Governance Directorate at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. To be considered for this role you should have experience of working in a busy office environment and have a professional level of administrative skills. You should be able to demonstrate experience of working autonomously and show initiative in decision-making and understand how to manage confidential information sensitively and professionally, in support of the compliance portfolio. Ideally suited to a confident, capable individual who can effectively support the team in a fast-paced busy environment. This is an important role, working with directors, senior managers, clinicians and staff across the organisation on a regular basis. This would provide an excellent opportunity to work across the organisation. We are therefore looking for an enthusiastic individual who is well organised. The post is based at the Hinchingbrooke Hospital site however travel between any North West Anglia Hospital sites may be required. This role will involve working from home a maximum of 2 days a week once trained.
Main duties of the job:
1. To provide a confidential, comprehensive, and professional level of administration service delivering a range of administrative tasks in support of the compliance portfolio.
2. To support the Corporate Governance and Compliance Manager, Corporate Governance Compliance team and the wider Corporate Affairs team with a range of initiatives and projects primarily within the portfolio of compliance including collation and extraction of reports, as required.
3. Provide support to the Corporate Governance Compliance Manager, Corporate Governance Compliance team and the wider Corporate Affairs team primarily in the development of new and ongoing compliance processes which promote excellent customer service and effective working relationships.

Person Specification
Education and Qualifications
* Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in relevant area.
Knowledge
* The ability to communicate difficult or technical information, orally, electronically or in writing.
* Understanding of Confidentiality and the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Desirable
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Understanding and familiarity with principles of regulatory and best practice governance standards and requirements.
* Understanding of quality governance requirements for NHS Foundation Trusts.
Experience
* Experience of using MS Office including Excel spreadsheets, using formulas and advanced formulas. Word and PowerPoint.
* Ability to read and digest complex documents, policies and guidance.
* Able to accurately interpret, analyse and present data.
Desirable
* Experience of working in a governance role within the NHS including corporate governance, clinical governance, audit and effectiveness, compliance or other relevant support role.
* Experience of developing and maintaining systems that ensure and demonstrate compliance with regulatory and best practice governance requirements.
Skills
* Ability to communicate difficult information orally, electronically and in writing to a range of audiences.

Expected salary: £26,530 – £29,114 per year
