The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join a Nursing team in Kello Hospital. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will carry out routine personal care duties for patients, in support of and supervised by, a registered nurse. The post holder will carry out assigned duties to maintain hygiene, order and safety within the ward environment.
Duties may vary with the type of ward/department and the degree of patient dependency.
Due to the rurality of Kello hospital and possible requirement to support other community hospitals within the locality, candidates must have a current full UK driving license.
What we'll need you to bring
* Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment.
* Required to undertake on-the-job training and induction.
* Undertake mandatory HCSW standards.
* Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.
* Working knowledge of basic information technology.
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
* SVQ2 in health care or working towards.
* Previous experience of working in a care-giving environment.

The working pattern for this role is rotational over 7 days.
