Tyddyn Teg is looking for two to three trainees to join us for the 2023 growing season (beginning of April to end of September). We grow a wide range of vegetable crops using hand tools and tractors, to supply our farm shop and 180 customer box scheme. There will be lots of hands-on experience with the practicalities of running this operation plus half a day per week of classroom-based learning. There will also be opportunities to visit and learn from other sustainable veg growers in Wales.
Tyddyn Teg is a 12-member workers’ co-operative near Bangor in North Wales. We share a commitment to the importance of quality local food and to social and environmental sustainability in the twenty-first century. We see ourselves as part of the global family of small farmers.

Remuneration: Accommodation & food provided, plus £75/week stipend
Hours: 6 hours a day, 5 days a week (average), for 6 months
