DRILLING SUPERVISOR Our client, a Major Oil and Gas Operator is seeking an experienced Drilling Supervisor to mobilise out of Aberdeen. This is a 6 month PAYE contract role and likely to be a 3on/3off rotation. Description: 6 month duration from start date (asap) Purpose of Role: To provide well engineering and operations assistance to the Offshore Drilling Supervisors and ensure that the operational programmes are safely implemented at the wellsite according to approved standards and procedures. To supervise sub-contractors and motivate them to perform to high operational and safety standards. To engage with the performance toolpushers and vendors to plan ahead and drive operational improvement. Critical Responsibilities: Ensure all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation, and client HSES Procedures Ensure compliance with client HSE standard. Ensure compliance with the UK Wells Standards, Interface Document with Rig Contractor / 3rd Party, Drilling Programme, OGUK Guidelines, HSE Operating Guidelines, Oil Spill Response Plans. Ethics and Compliance Responsibilities: Ensure that all activities and behaviours are carried out in accordance with the client's Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures, and to complete any compulsory compliance training as required Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence: Hold pre and post job section review meetings along with key contractor and vendor personnel and log lessons learned. Assist with daily operational plan preparation. Monitor the drilling performance (ROP / formation response / flow rate / pump pressure / surface torque / WOB / down hole vibration / hole cleaning / LWD formation response) and advise the Offshore Drilling Supervisors of any concerns and/or potential improvements. Carryout cementing and casing tally calculations. Ensure sufficient stocks of chemicals cement and pipe are available to perform the planned operations. In coordination with service companies, carryout deck checks / pre-job checks of casing / cementing / wellhead equipment and understand functionality of all tools and equipment. Request mud loggers and drilling fluid providers to carryout surge / swab calculations for all casing running operations. Carryout spot ID check of casing and pre-measured lengths. Closely monitor casing running operations including double checking of tally, including joints run / joints to be run / joints remaining on deck. Understand and monitor the cementing operation, including mixing and pumping of spacer / barrels of cement mixed / dart dropping operations / barrels of displacement fluid / plug bump pressures. Witness casing shoe integrity tests and calculate min leak-off values. Preparation and delivery of all relevant reports, in a timely manner including but not limited to: Daily Drilling Reports Cementing Reports Casing Reports Leak Off Test Reports Accident and Incident Reports Accuracy of drilling data acquisition and reporting. Work split shift midnight to midday to support both Senior and Night Offshore Drilling Supervisors and provide cover at their discretion in operations and meetings. Actively support the HSE Supervisor and partake in the HSE Field Verification. Critical Skills, Qualifications, Experience, etc.: Engineering Degree or equivalent experience Valid IWCF Well Control Level 4 certification. Valid Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET). Valid medical certification Demonstrable experience with North Sea Oil and Gas operator Toolpusher/drilling contractor background preferred or varied Wells based experience
