We are currently seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, flexible, and motivated, person to join a small, friendly, private team of staff providing 24-hour personalised support to a young man living at home with his parents in his adapted property. You will be required to work as part of a team, on a 24-hour basis that will include days, waking and sleeping night shifts.
We are seeking to recruit a person to join the team, who is experienced in supporting adults who have Cerebral Palsy, learning and physical disabilities.
You will be responsible for supporting the client with his personal care as well as day to day domestic, leisure, and vocational activities, both in and out of his home and to access and attend meaningful community activities safely.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of (client specific training will be offered):
• Supporting and empowering people to develop and learn new skills
• Supporting people with a learning / physical disability
• Supporting a person with PEG/Jejunum
• Providing support in a clients’ own home and within the community
• Supporting with personal care tasks whilst respecting the client’s dignity and privacy
• Moving and Handling support using lifting equipment (client specific training will be provided)
• Understanding of inclusive communication
• Working as part of a team
• Working closely with the client’s parents
• Following personalised care plans as directed by healthcare clinicians the clients parents
• Reporting and daily record keeping
• Safeguarding
• NVQ L2 in care (or equivalent)
• Understanding the need to respect the privacy of the family members living with the client, as well as the private areas of the home.

Remuneration:
Weekdays (days/nights) - £13.19per hour
