We are looking for an experienced CT/MRI Senior Radiographer to join our hard-working, dynamic team. We are a rapidly growing, progressive and vibrant department, offering a range of cross-sectional imaging to the attached UTC, community referrers and local acute Trusts with some of the best waiting lists in the country. Based at Lymington New Forest Hospital, the department is equipped with a Canon Genesis CT scanner and a Siemens Altea 1.5T MRI scanner. The department provides a 7 day a week service so flexibility to work both weekdays and weekends is essential.
LNFH is a thriving community hospital with an Urgent Treatment Centre, situated just outside the attractive Hampshire town of Lymington, located on the south coast within the New Forest National Park. Close to both Southampton and Bournemouth with good road, rail, and air links. We work cohesively with the acute Trusts of Winchester, Southampton, and Bournemouth. There is free on-site hospital parking for staff. The department is located on the ground floor with windows overlooking the forest wildlife. The department has a comfortable, bright staff room and has the option of outdoor seating during the summer months.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing a high-quality diagnostic MRI and CT service whilst maintaining high standards of patient care. To undertake all MRI / CT procedures to a high standard and demonstrate a good level of skill and knowledge in all aspects of MRI and CT scanning. To work unaided after initial training and induction are completed. To run lists in both CT and MRI efficiently while displaying good patient care. To ensure that practice is carried out in accordance with both Trust and departmental policies and protocols. To participate in CPD and other developmental activities. To assist in the supervision of staff working in the MRI/CT unit. To maintain the highest standards of radiation and MRI safety. To participate in department research, clinical trials, and equipment testing. To participate in the Governance of the department in areas including Risk Management, Health and Safety, Infection Control and Audit activities. To undertake Fire bleep holder training. To work at all times within the limits of your professional capabilities upholding the HCPC standards of professional conduct. To undertake any task as required by senior management. To act as student link for MRI/CT.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* BSc in Diagnostic radiography or equivalent
* HCPC registration
* Evidence of cannulation training is desirable
* CT colonography skills are desirable
Experience
* Minimum of 2 years experience in CT and MRI scanning.
Additional Criteria
* An understanding of IRR17 and IRMER17
* An understanding of MHRA MRI safety guidelines
* Evidence of CPD relevant to the role
* Friendly, caring and enthusiastic
* Have good communication skills
* Have well developed organisation skills
* Possess team leader and team player qualities
