We have an exciting opportunity for a diligent and meticulousfinancial professional to be the bookkeeper of Shepherd Neame’s fixed assetactivity.
The role of a Fixed Asset Accountant is a great opportunityfor someone who has a passion for homing in on a singular function of Financeand will dive into our asset requests and disposals to govern our accurateasset register. As a key member of our central finance team, you will workclosely with our wider Commercial Finance department as well as cross-functionalinteraction with our Property Teams who hold the keys to most of our moving assets.As well as day-to-day management, you will be pivotal in providing analytical reports,balance sheets and estates expenditure budgets for senior internal stakeholders.

12. Working Hours: Full-time, hours per week. 08:30 - 17:00, Monday to Friday with 1 hour lunch (unpaid).
Duties & Responsibilities:
13. Efficiently execute asset requests daily
14. Produce monthly settlements of our completed tangible fixed-asset projects
15. Assist with the recharging of project costs where required
16. Process asset disposals as required
17. Rectify any impairments of fixed assets as required
18. Reconcile the fixed asset register to the general ledger on a monthly basis
19. Report on fixed asset additions, disposals and depreciation on a monthly basis for the board
20. Assist with analysis of fixed asset additions and disposals for corporation tax purposes
21. Prepare capital expenditure, disposal and depreciation budgets
22. Settlements of functional locations, events and customers monthly
23. Formulate estates expenditure budgets
24. Report on performance versus estates expenditure budget as required
25. Assist with year-end tasks relating to fixed assets including preparation of the Fixed Assets note
26. Maintain an up-to-date schedule of assets held for sale
27. Liaise with the Property Teams and facilitating a strong communication channel with relevant internal stakehodlers
28. Ad hoc assistance for the Financial Reporting Manager and Financial Controller
The Ideal Candidate:
29. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
30. Demonstratable experience in a financial role; fixed asset, accountancy or similar
31. Qualified or working towards AAT Level 4 or other equivalent and relevant credentials
32. Strong IT literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant systems
33. Demonstratable experience or SAP is desirable but not essential
34. Experience in retail, manufacturing, or hospitality industries is preferred but not essential
35. Proactive, organised, and meticulous with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
36. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all stakeholders confidently and effectively
37. Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time effectively to deliver within time parameters
38. Effective delivery within a team and individually, with the ability to adapt to changing needs
