Marketing Assistant & Copywriter Burntwood £24,405 Ref: AH389
Green Shoots Recruitment Ltd is looking for an experienced Marketing Assistant & Copywriter; the responsibility of the role is to provide administrative, copywriting and campaign support across all aspects of the Marketing function. The Marketing Assistant & Copywriter also works closely with other teams and departments, including sales, finance, purchasing and operations to ensure that products are promoted, presented, and uploaded across all shopping channels to optimise profitability. This includes copywriting product descriptions, blogs, project pages, uploading new products to marketing platforms and driving online traffic with web-related campaigns. Monitoring and replenishing stock by actively managing stock levels and price changes across all shopping channels. It is key that the Marketing Assistant & Copywriter has a keen attention to detail, with a strong ability to produce quality written content and assists the Marketing Manager in writing reports and analysing sales performance and data.
Accountabilities & Daily Responsibilities/Tasks:
Marketing Administration:
1. Liaising with the SEO Agency to create a SEO strategy and ensure all content is optimised and organising SEO quarter plans.
2. Monitoring and replying to testimonial reviews.
3. Monitoring and replying to social media messages.
4. Managing the Google Profile, Google Shop, Web Stories & Facebook Articles.
5. Assisting with the organisation of photos after photoshoots.
6. Monitoring and updating product categories depending on sales figures and keyword research.
7. Creating marketing reports and monitoring analytics to help form marketing strategies.
8. Assisting with the product uploading process from start to finish, of both new and vintage products, to marketing selling platforms. This includes helping the Digital Marketing Assistants with sourcing measurements, organising images of new products, and actively working with the Purchasing department to obtain product and price information.
9. Updating selling platforms with product prices and optimised descriptions.
10. Daily stock update on Website, Wayfair, eBay, and any other external shopping channels.
11. Inputting stock from weekly ‘Tick Lists’ and to liaise with purchasing and finance to ensure all stock is uploaded.
Copywriting:
1. Responsible for writing high quality product descriptions online for all marketing platforms with the brand's tone of voice.
2. Trade projects – organising and contacting potential projects. Creating project page copy, sourcing images, and uploading projects to the website.
3. Planning and copywriting seasonal blog posts and promotional content.
4. Assisting the Creative Marketing Assistant with writing features for social, advertorial and email content.
5. Writing engaging brochure and trade show content.
6. Proofreading content.
Campaign Support:
1. Planning the content calendar, conceptualising creative content with our marketing team, such as, creating campaign ideas to increase brand awareness and conversions.
2. Campaign planning through organising and executing ideas for marketing promotions.
3. Undertaking competitor research.
4. Planning and working alongside the Creative Marketing Assistant in executing direct email campaigns that are aligned to the Marketing Strategy.
5. Assisting with the organising and executing of in-house and lifestyle photoshoots.
Knowledge & Experience Required:
1. Excellent writing skills and command of the English language is essential.
2. Exceptional organisational skills to manage the product uploading process.
3. Use own initiative and can manage own workload.
4. Ability to communicate effectively across all departments.
5. Keen eye for detail and ability to think creatively for marketing campaign ideas.
6. Strong team player.
7. Can work under pressure to achieve tight deadlines.
8. Willing to support all members of the marketing team and pick up workload to achieve business goals and objectives.
9. 1-2 years’ experience in a Marketing role.
10. Copywriting experience & excellent writing skills.
11. Bachelor's degree (with a concentration in marketing or business preferred).
12. Organised with an eye for detail.
13. Ability to multi-task and uses own initiative.
14. Ability to work independently.
15. Passion for Marketing.
16. Adaptable and capable of approaching unfamiliar situations with a common sense and a "can do" attitude.

14. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software’s is desirable, not essential.
Special Conditions:
May be required for occasional weekend work + to attend trade shows.
