As an Engineering Infrastructure & Standards Lead, you will hold a senior leadership position within JM, focusing on establishing a standardised approach to our engineering practices to further drive innovation, foster collaboration, and to elevate our organization's position as a leader in engineering excellence. You will provide strategic direction, thought leadership, and technical guidance to ensure our engineering foundations are fit for purpose and adhered to across the network.

Your responsibilities:
1. Develop and communicate a strategic vision for engineering management system that aligns with organizational goals and objectives to drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.
2. Define long-term roadmaps and tactical delivery plans to contribute to achieving company financial targets as part of the engineering transformation.
3. Directly manage a team of technical experts (5-10 direct reports) to support our global sites with identifying cost-effective opportunities for improvement and reducing operational risks.
4. Lead the definition, deployment and assurance of engineering standards, strategy, and ways of working across the businesses, sites, and capital projects.
5. Contribute to the delivery of capital projects globally to maximize the opportunities for Capex avoidance and 'safety by design', contributing to our engineering improvement financial metrics.
6. Establish a robust engineering standard process for expert technical decisions, ensuring alignment with best practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals.
7. Own the design and deployment of a global governance framework to support the business with the adoption of the standards, supporting the assessments and assuring the mitigation plans for the identified gaps.
Requirements for the role:
1. Engineering degree in chemical, mechanical, electrical, or approved equivalent discipline. Significant experience working in a chemical, oil and gas, pharmaceutical, steel, or other process related manufacturing environment - Essential.
2. Chartered Engineer, PE or another equivalent credential as determined by JM - Essential.
3. Demonstrated experience in leading the creation and deployment of new engineering standards and procedures, which have been cascaded and are in use - Essential.
4. Extensive experience in engineering management roles with a track record of line management of technical experts, change leadership, and technical excellence - Essential.
5. Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a focus on driving business results and achieving organizational objectives - Essential.
6. Demonstrated examples of a stringent attitude towards working safely - Essential.
