We have a great opportunity for a part time Physiotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary team to provide compassionate, person-centred, holistic rehabilitation services to palliative care patients. This is a key role that supports our patients, helping to improve their mobility, independence and quality of life both in an inpatient and community setting. You don’t need to have palliative care experience - we welcome applications from a range of clinical areas.
This role will cover:
1. Undertaking holistic, special assessments of patients and develop dynamic treatment plans which focus on maximising function and engagement within their lives.
2. Providing education and support to carers when developing discharge plans and be actively involved in developing treatments plans around self-management.
3. Regularly attending MDT meetings, family meetings and case meetings to supply specialist advice.
4. Keeping up to date patients notes and records in accordance with Hospice policy.
In order to fulfil this role, you will need to have:
1. A recognised qualification in physiotherapy and be registered with the HPC.
2. Experience of delivering group based and individual physiotherapy.
3. The ability to assess the needs of individuals and groups including the whole family in order to work with them as a unit.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
5. A flexible, supportive and calm approach to work.

This is a part-time position working 15 hours per week between 8.30am - 4.30pm for a fixed period of 12 months. We are open to discussing the working days at interview however it is expected that it will be between Monday to Friday.
