Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development of mechanical systems and components from concept to production. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop mechanical components, systems, and assemblies using CAD software.
2. Create detailed technical drawings, 3D models, and specifications for manufacturing.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, manufacturing, and project managers to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
4. Conduct engineering analyses such as stress analysis, thermal analysis, and tolerance stack-up to validate designs.
5. Perform prototype testing and support the evaluation of designs to ensure they meet all required specifications and standards.
6. Continuously improve designs based on feedback, testing results, and evolving project requirements.
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and manufacturing technologies to apply best practices in design.
8. Participate in design reviews and contribute to project planning and scheduling.
9. Ensure all designs comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
3. Proficiency in CAD software.
4. Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
5. Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is a plus.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Experience with project management tools and techniques is a plus.
