A rapidly expanding freight forwarding organisation are looking to add a Freight Booking Advisor and rate negotiator to their expanding team. The role will entail taking inbound calls only from clients and negotiating freight forwarding rates with them. Ideally the right candidate will have some freight forwarding knowledge, but not essential. ROLE: Freight booking - Internal Sales LOCATION: Shipley BASIC SALARY: £25k ROLE : To provide accurate, competitive pricing to customers and the external sales team Deal with inbound requests for rates via call and email To work as a team to demonstrate excellence in all aspects of the teams overarching purpose To maximise Profit Per Job (PPJ) whilst maintaining a realistic price Dealing with customers queries/enquiries via telephone/email. All inbound calls, NO outbound sales calls, the role is taking calls and negotiating rates with clients who call in. Calculate and advise rates to customers & the external sales team Provide customers with quotes as requested/required. Deal with Invoice and price disputes. Work with rate sheets. Develop and grow long-term relationships with customers and shipping companies Price up bookings and monitor and maintain pricing inbox.
