An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Programme Management Office in Velindre Cancer Centre (VCC), for a Project Manager.
We are looking for a motivated, organised, enthusiastic, and experienced Project Manager who understands the challenges of delivering something new and want to use their skills to support and enable the delivery of clinical and operational projects, as outlined in the VCC IMTP.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will be building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders across our organisation, managing key projects from inception to conclusion. The applicant should hold a Project Management qualification and have experience of managing multiple projects within a programme portfolio. You will have excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills and be able to use these skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders, organise events or workshops, and ensure initiation and delivery of multiple projects successfully.

Qualifications & Knowledge
* Masters or equivalent professional/managerial qualification.
* PRINCE 2 registered Practitioner or other recognised qualification in project management
* Evidence of Continued Professional Development / further training
* Member of recognised professional body
* PRINCE2 Agile Practitioner and/or experience.
* Knowledge of NHS structures and processes.
Experience
* Extensive experience of working in a complex and large scale project management environment and across organisational boundaries (and by influence).
* Successful change management experience, with a proven track record and demonstrated ability of working collaboratively with a variety of organisational levels to deliver programme goals.
* Experience of service improvement methodologies and applied knowledge of how they can be deployed in different settings.
* Experience of facilitating workshops across multi-disciplinary teams.
* Management of project budgets.
* Successful introduction of project management methodologies to inexperienced teams and individuals.
* Solid understanding and appreciation of project finances and risk and benefits realisation.
* Excellent overall management and organisational skills.
