We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team managing and supporting the technical support and engineering department. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of managing projects and supporting our customers with leading vehicle safety technology.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects, ensuring product quality and performance, and driving innovation in line with industry trends and company objectives. This role requires a strong technical and industry background, exceptional leadership abilities, and a commitment to excellence in automotive technology and processes.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Provide strategic direction and technical guidance to subcontractor engineers, technical support teams, and customers.
* Vehicle/customer installation specs and sign off.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and the Installations team with project handovers.
* Conduct first installs for sub-contractors.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of subcontract engineers and in-house technical staff.
* Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and ensure skills development of in-house staff and audits for subcontractors.
* Project audits and project customer sign off.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
* Ensure all installations meet regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
* Oversee the resolution of technical issues and implement preventive measures.
Qualifications and Skills
* Eager to learn new skills.
* Automotive electrical engineering skills.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* Computer literate, knowledgeable in Word, Adobe, and Excel is an advantage.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Deep knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
* Installation of vehicle safety equipment experience minimum 5 years required.
