We are looking for creative, enthusiastic, and professional individuals to work in our new wrap around care programmes, in the form of breakfast and after school clubs. While creativity, fun, and imagination are all key elements of the roles, it is essential that you have experience working with children and the ability to build an authentic rapport with young people from all backgrounds and life experiences.
We seek candidates who are passionate about having a positive impact on KS1 children through the medium of arts, play, and wellbeing activities, allowing young people to start and end their day feeling calm and regulated ahead of school or home time.
A Club Play Worker will passionately provide a safe, stimulating, comfortable, and friendly environment. They will complement school policies and fulfill statutory childcare provision requirements.
The successful candidates will need to be supportive, enthusiastic, and kind, with the ability to communicate and interact with children, parents, and school staff in an approachable and professional manner. They must demonstrate that they are nurturing individuals, hardworking, and have a good understanding of working with children ages 4 – 7 years.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Ensuring a safe, fun, and stimulating environment for children.
2. Leading and coordinating various activities tailored to different age groups.
3. Maintaining professionalism in interactions with children, parents, colleagues, and schools.
4. Safeguarding the well-being of all children attending our clubs.
5. Ensuring you maintain and follow our core values.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential:
1. Minimum one year experience working creatively with children and young people.
2. Awareness of Safeguarding. (Further training will be provided)
Desirable:
1. Level 3 Qualification in Childcare / Early Years Care
2. Experience working with young people and their families, with an awareness of additional support needs.
3. Paediatric First Aid. (Training can be provided)
4. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

INTERVIEW DATES:
First Stage: In-person recruitment day at our head office on Tuesday 21st January 2025, time TBC. This is a group session where our team will host a number of workshops for you to get involved in, alongside getting the opportunity to talk with you individually. You MUST be able to attend our recruitment day to be considered for the position.
Second Stage: Online interview with successful candidates 22nd, 23rd, and 24th January 2025.
START DATE: February 2025. Team training w/c 17th February.
