Job Description:
We are now seeking ambitious and talented Graduate Vehicle Performance Engineers to join us. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the performance of a new and competitive F1 entry.
As a Graduate Vehicle Performance Engineer in our Vehicle Performance Group, you will be responsible for supporting simulation-based performance analysis to guide car development, setup direction, competitor analysis and correlate the simulation models to the real car. You will work alongside experienced performance engineers, vehicle dynamics specialists, and simulation developers, contributing to offline simulation tools and running scenario-based simulations to extract performance insights.
This role is ideal for someone with strong technical foundations in motorsport engineering and a passion for data analysis, simulation, and vehicle behaviour understanding.
What you will be doing:
· Run and analyse offline vehicle simulations (e.g., lap time simulation, setup sweeps, parameter studies) to support performance decision-making.
· Develop and maintain simulation models, tools, and post-processing scripts.
· Collaborate with Aerodynamics, Design, Strategy, and Race Engineering teams to assess the impact of car updates and setup changes.
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of simulation accuracy and usability.
· Undertake pre-event and post-event analysis, providing simulation-based insight on setup trends and performance optimisation.
· Undertake factory-based race event support.
· Support correlation efforts between simulation, track data, and driver-in-loop (DiL) results.
Requirements
· A degree quantitative in nature e.g Maths, Physics, or a related field.
· Proficiency in at least one data analysis language (e.g., Python, MATLAB).
· Ability to interpret simulation and real-world data to extract actionable performance conclusions.
· A proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a detail-oriented approach.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desirable (Not Essential)
· Good understanding of vehicle dynamics, race car performance fundamentals, and simulation methods.
· Experience working with lap time simulation tools.
· Experience using motorsport data tools (e.g., ATLAS, MoTeC, Pi Toolbox).
· Internship or placement year experience in motorsport or high-performance automotive engineering.
Why Join Us?
· Be part of an ambitious, ground-up F1 project.
· Work in a high-performance, collaborative environment.
· Exposure to world-class engineering challenges and rapid career growth.
· Competitive salary and graduate development program.
Please note that additional security checks may be required as part of the recruitment process. This may include a background check covering a minimum of the past five years and a criminal record check.
