Job Specification: Propositions Manager – Telecoms or Technology Sector Location: Chorley Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum (depending on experience) many staff benefits Reports To: Sales Director About the Role: Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Propositions Manager to join a very busy and established team. This role is key to shaping a go-to-market strategy, creating propositions for SME and Corporate customers, and driving business growth. You will collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to develop scalable, easy-to-sell propositions that deliver strong margins. Key Responsibilities: Develop and optimise propositions aligned with customer needs and market trends. Work with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and suppliers to design effective go-to-market strategies. Ensure propositions are simple, scalable, and seamlessly integrated into operations and customer service. Use customer feedback and market research to refine propositions and maintain a competitive edge. Identify cost optimisation opportunities with suppliers and maximise margins. Provide sales tools, training, and resources to support the sales team. Collaborate with Finance and Operations to optimise pricing strategies and profitability. Work closely with Marketing to align propositions with strategic goals. Conduct regular market research to identify trends and competitor offerings. What We're Looking For: Essential: At least 5 years’ experience in proposition management, product management, or sales strategy within the telecoms or technology sector. Strong understanding of the telecoms industry, customer needs, and competitive landscape. Solid knowledge of sales strategies, pricing, and go-to-market tactics. Analytical skills to optimise cost structures and pricing strategies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to think critically and creatively to solve challenges. Strong collaboration skills and experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Experience in developing and managing sales tools to improve efficiency and customer experience. Desirable: Familiarity with CRMs and computer systems. Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating favourable terms. Working Arrangements: Hybrid working scheme: Office days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) and home working days (Tuesday, Thursday). Employees living over 40 miles from the office are typically home workers, with monthly office attendance.
