Addiction Specialist Doctor
Salary: The salary for this post is competitive and can be discussed during the interview stage.
Location: You will either be based at Armley Court or Kirkgate, depending on personal preference, however you will cover work from all three Forward Leeds sites (Armley Court, Kirkgate and Irford House); therefore, travel is required.
Working hours: 21 hours per week with flexibility on what days those hours are worked. This role may include evening work, depending on whether cover is required, and this would be until 7pm.

We have an exciting opportunity in Forward Leeds for an Addictions Specialist Doctor where you will play a crucial role in delivering and maintaining excellent clinical practice. You’ll have the chance to make a real difference to the lives of the people we support, working with them to develop the personal, flexible, and realistic support packages they need to help turn things around. This is an opportunity to not only deliver health care services in a supportive environment but to be involved in a CQC outstanding service to ensure the people of Leeds continue to receive the best possible support.
As a Speciality Doctor, the successful candidate will work within an experienced clinical team alongside Clinical Services Lead, Specialist Doctors, Independent Prescribers, and Operational colleagues. You will have previous experience of addiction clinical work at a senior level, with the ability to provide sound clinical advice to colleagues and offer support in clinical decision-making.
Essential criteria for this role includes:
* Registered with a license to practice on the GMC register.
* Addiction Specialist Doctor – with extensive experience in addictions with either completed training in general practice or psychiatry.
* Experience of assessing, diagnosing, and managing the clinical needs of people using substances, to include meeting clinical and psychosocial needs according to best practice and organizational policy.
* Experience of carrying out general health care including BBV, phlebotomy, health promotion/harm reduction interventions, advice, and information.
* Driving license and access to own vehicle is preferred but not essential.
