Job Description
Purpose of the Role:
Leadership and of site operations. Full ownership through a team of leaders for the delivery of functional KPIs. The SOM is the senior operational functional leader, owning team development, improvement plans, tactical execution. The role optimises service, cost and functional plans.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Safe and efficient execution of operational plans.
2. Management, coaching and development for all leaders including a succession plan for all leadership roles.
3. Development and deployment of department plans including regular communication across the department of performance and operational priorities.
4. Ownership of the departmental resource and capacity plans.
5. Ownership of performance management and recovery plans where required.
6. Meet or exceed agreed performance targets for service and efficiency.
7. Ownership of operational budgets.
8. Effective communication across internal/ external stakeholders to secure support and resources where required.
Knowledge & Skills:
1. 5+ years operational leadership experience in a high volume D2C environment.
2. Experienced leading multiple teams in a high tempo environment.
3. Knowledgeable operator and user of WMS tools, systems and experienced in reporting standards.
4. Experienced leading change in a high growth business.
5. Skilled communicator and owner of functional performance, plans and projects.
6. Highly proficient at using, understanding and managing data including routine analysis of performance and trends.
7. Experienced team and process builder.
Key Stakeholders:
1. International operational peers.
2. HR, L&D and technical business partners.
3. Local leaders defining supply and demand.
4. Finance business partner.
5. Leaders and project managers engaged in functional plans and initiatives.
