£70,000 - £80,000 + Career Progression + Bonus + Pension + Paid Travel

Do you have extensive technical knowledge of ships, including P&L, Class Inspection, Budgets, Dry Docking, Repairs, Defects, Claims, Reporting, Spares, navigation equipment, Engines, Stores, Lubricants, purchasing, and a willingness to regularly visit the two ROPAX operating in the Irish Sea?
Our client is a leading Ship Management company responsible for two passenger ferries operating in the Irish Sea.

The Role:
1. Technical Superintendent overseeing two passenger vessels
2. Regularly visiting vessels operating in the Irish Sea
3. Responsible for operational issues and day-to-day running
4. Prepare individual ship budgets
5. Oversee repairs and dry-dockings
6. Arrange class inspections
7. Rectify defects
8. Oversee claims
9. Ensure spare parts are kept in stock
10. Maintain vessel paperwork
11. Arrange surveys
12. Oversee technical machinery, navigation equipment, and hotel/catering equipment
13. Manage appropriate stores, lubricants, and spares stocks
14. Oversee planned maintenance
15. Any other duty as required by management to ensure the safety of vessels
The Person:
1. First Class Chief Engineer's Certificate or Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering or equivalent
2. Ideally some experience as a Technical Superintendent ashore, but extensive ROPAX/Ferry experience will be considered
3. Must reside within 2 hours of Dublin or Rosslare
