The Role Dojo is seeking a strong Enterprise Credit Underwriter with a background in payments or financial analysis to join our London team. As part of the Credit Risk team, you will underwrite enterprise customer applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial analysis skills and a solid understanding of various business models to conduct effective credit risk reviews. You will collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to make informed underwriting decisions that support our credit risk management initiatives. What you will do Conduct comprehensive credit risk reviews on prospective merchants, focusing on business model analysis and employing complex evaluation techniques for optimal underwriting outcomes. Perform detailed financial analysis of P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for complex business models, demonstrating a strong understanding of accounting principles. Confidently assess and analyse applications within their own delegated approval limit, empowered to make informed decisions and approvals for their own and teammates’ credit submissions. Contribute to Dojo’s continuous improvement by making detailed recommendations to enhance existing underwriting processes and systems. Collaborate with Sales and Account Management to represent Underwriting in customer meetings and calls, effectively communicating credit decisions and ensuring alignment with client needs and Dojo’s risk appetite. Consistently deliver to a high standard, even under pressure, while maintaining accuracy and adherence to credit policies in fast-paced environments. Assist wider Underwriting team members through credit risk training initiatives What you will bring Competencies: Financial Acumen and Risk Assessment: Proficient in evaluating financial statements and adept at balancing risk with business objectives in complex deal structures.
