Tes is supporting the appointment of a General ASC Teacher – KS3, (SEND School), Shaftesbury to join a House School based in Wiltshire.
Are you an outstanding General ASC Teacher – Key Stage 3, with extensive experience of working with Autistic children/young people in an education setting and a passion for inclusion, enabling all children to overcome barriers to learning?
They are seeking a proactive, resourceful, and dynamic General ASC Teacher to work across the Key Stage 3 curriculum. You will collaborate with their specialist teachers in Art, Design/DT, PE, Maths, and English, where appropriate, ensuring a well-rounded and supportive learning experience for every pupil.
Spring – Summer 2025
You should be self-motivated with a creative approach to curriculum delivery and have the skills to continuously improve the learning experience for their pupils. You should have experience of working with young people with Autism and complex needs and understand what approaches work well and how building positive relationships are key.
Over the last two years the school has been through positive changes and developments, with a new Headteacher, strengthened Senior Leadership Team, and a revised business strategy to support significant growth.

This is an independent special school that provides education for pupils aged 5 to 19 with SEMH and ASD and associated difficulties. All pupils on roll have an EHCP and the school uses a therapeutic approach to support pupils with their individual difficulties. Everything the school does is based on the formation and maintenance of positive relationships and viewing all behaviour as communication.
