Your Role
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse with Donnington Grove, you’ll support our veterinary surgeons both in the hospital and on the road. Key responsibilities include:
1. Providing high-quality inpatient care, administering medications, performing clinical checks, wound care, and assisting in theatre.
2. Managing patient admissions and discharges.
3. Assisting with diagnostic imaging both on-site and in the field.

Donnington Grove Veterinary Group is a large, well-equipped practice in Newbury, Berkshire, welcoming both first opinion and referral cases across surgery, MRI, CT, scintigraphy, and medical investigations. Our facility boasts a robust in-house laboratory, a range of mobile equipment, and support for ambulatory procedures. We’re open 7 days a week, year-round, ensuring both routine and emergency care for our patients.
Our team includes:
1. 33 Equine Vets across Hospital and Ambulatory divisions, with specialists in Surgery, Medicine, and Lameness.
2. 15 Trainee and Qualified Nurses providing essential support.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a nurse with a genuine passion for equine care, ideally with some relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to maintaining high clinical standards and delivering exceptional client care, thrive in a dynamic and collaborative team setting, and demonstrate outstanding communication skills to support both clients and colleagues.
Working Hours
This is a full-time role, averaging 39 hours per week with rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
