Mental Health Teaching Assistant

Hours: Full-time, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday

About the Role

If you’re eager to make a meaningful impact, we want to hear from you! Axcis is working with a specialist institution supporting students aged 2-19 with severe or profound learning difficulties. As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential day-to-day support to students, creating a nurturing and engaging environment.
Who We’re Looking For
* Qualities: Flexible, reliable, resilient, empathetic and patient
* Experience: Prior experience with children with special educational needs is essential; candidates should be comfortable working with students with autism, ADHD, complex needs and other learning disabilities.
* Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with students.

* Compensation: Pay is £83.40 per day, based on experience and qualifications, with weekly payments.
Ideal Candidate
If you have experience in any of the following areas, we would love to hear from you:
* Nurseries or early years settings.
* Colleges or further education environments.
* Youth clubs or similar community-focused organisations.
* Residential care or care home support roles.
* Personal experience supporting someone with SEND (e.g., a family member).
Graduates in fields such as sociology, psychology, sports, music, art and drama are also highly encouraged to apply!
