Our Works Unit have an exciting two-year fixed term opportunity for a Senior Programme Manager – Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure. You will be working within the Energy Management Team and leading the delivery of the EV infrastructure strategy for West Northamptonshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team and support the Council's objectives of shaping the future of mobility in West Northamptonshire, that will be an example of best practice, and one that will deliver the best outcomes for the residents of the West Northamptonshire.
What will you be doing?
We are looking for a dynamic individual who has experience with managing contracts (including concession contracts) for the delivery of infrastructure projects such as EV charging infrastructure, broadband, street lighting, transport, electricity, etc to lead the successful rollout of electric vehicle charging infrastructure across West Northamptonshire. To accomplish this task, you will have the support of internal and external stakeholders.
Day to day, your role will involve procuring and appointing Charge Point Operator(s), mobilising the contract, managing the contractor and ensuring Council's specifications are delivered and installations are up to standard.
You will have overall responsibility for the rollout of the EV infrastructure, ensuring future innovations are periodically reviewed, and ensuring sustained good service provision on the EV charging infrastructure network.

About you
You will bring with you strong knowledge around infrastructure delivery models. You will have the ability to think logically and effectively liaise and communicate rational decisions based on evidence to a wide audience, including internal and external stakeholders.
You will need to have:
* Relevant degree level education or equivalent professional qualification (or relevant proven experience).
* Experience of contract management for delivery of infrastructure projects.
* Organisational and time management skills and ability to plan and deliver objectives within an agreed timeframe.
