Locations: our Aerospace sites in Titchfield or Wimborne, the UK Travel rate is up to 50% of the working time, primarily in Europe Hybrid working solutions are available Role Overview Within our Aerospace Procurement Organization for direct materials, the Global Category Manager leads the development and deployment of the global category strategy for Outside Processing Suppliers OSP. In this role, you will be responsible for the Technical & Commercial Leadership of the OSP strategies. You will drive towards optimal conditions (cost, commercial, quality, delivery, innovation, VAVE) for the Direct Material category by leveraging across Aerospace Businesses. This role is also responsible for integrating with each of the AERO Division Supply Chain SCM teams to ensure OSP strategies and initiatives are fully aligned and executed. Industry experience and knowledge in National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program NADCAP, Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals REACH, Root Cause Corrective Action RCCA, and demonstrated experience working with NADCAP Approved Outside Processors is desired. The following items are key areas of responsibility: Capacity analysis and management, technical know-how of OSP requirements, strong industry associations, Government requirements/regulations & investments demonstrated through industry expertise Responsibilities Develop and implement commodity strategies in line with Corporate, Divisional, and site initiatives to improve supply chain efficiencies, ensure resiliency, and reduce the total cost of supply chain management. Outcomes should sustain a competitive advantage for Eaton Aerospace, utilizing global market exploitation, leveraging spend, and leveraging of technologies. Develop and own supplier relationships (Directly with Eaton & Sub-Suppliers to Eaton suppliers) for strategic initiatives to implement cross-business synergies across a rationalized set of global and regional preferred supplier partners. Responsibility for all Approved Supplier List ASL classifications for the designated spend (Approved Supplier List ASL). Develop, implement and manage key strategic supplier contracts and relationships. Including Sub-Suppliers and Partners with OSP providers. Develop and implement Supply chain solutions, including VMI, supplier consignment stock etc where applicable. Ensure compliance of suppliers with Eaton SCM Sustainability Programs, Go GREEN initiatives and SCM policies. Plan, prepare and execute annual Profit Planning and long-term Strategic Plans for the owned spend, and support execution with the business cross- functional teams. Develop innovative business solutions, forecast commodity projections and provide mitigation actions as applicable to ensure key metrics for the procurement function (Cost Out, DPO, OTD, Diversity Spend, etc.) are achieved. Special focus on risk mitigation and Supply Continuity Develop global communication plans and share new planning tools, methods, technical analysis, standards and procurement opportunities with senior management that are aligned with SCM/Eaton strategic plans and cost reduction initiatives. Undertake spend analysis, supplier assessment and supplier selection to agreed processes, build cost models (TCO/ should cost) to validate commodity strategies and to understand cost drivers. Provide commodity support to New Program Teams as required including specifications, costs, and schedules. Negotiate and manage cost models for suppliers to include 'hard' money (such as price, volume discounts, etc.) and 'soft' money (such as expertise, technical backup, etc.) in the context of Total Acquisition Cost (TAC) and Total Opportunity Cost (TOC). Prepare and Lead Supplier Business Reviews with strategic suppliers annually Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required A minimum of 3 years' professional experience in Engineering, Supply Chain or Operations, Program Management Knowledge of the Aerospace Requirements and ability to identify technology and economic trends within the category Demonstrates knowledge and experience in successfully deploying category strategies and driving cost-out.
