Salary Scale: £31,650 to £49,084 per annum

About the Role:
GSL Education is currently looking for an SEN English Teacher for a position at a school in Andover. The school serves students with diverse learning needs, including autism, speech and communication difficulties, and other medical conditions. As a SEN English Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
* Plan and execute engaging and creative lessons for secondary students, tailored to diverse learning needs.
* Demonstrate positive behaviour and serve as a role model for students, effectively managing challenging behaviours when they arise.
* Offer one-to-one or small group support for students with special needs, facilitating their access to the curriculum.
* Conduct small group interventions to reinforce learning goals effectively.
* Assist in maintaining a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere and managing behaviours.
* Employ strategies for equitable access to education for students with additional needs.
Requirements for the SEN English Teacher role:
* Proven experience working with students with SEN.
* Possess a recognised Teaching qualification in the UK or have relevant experience.
* Experience teaching English.
* Energetic and patient with strong classroom management skills.
* Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
* A full checkable work history.

* Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
* Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
