Perth & Kinross Council is seeking a time served Mechanic / Technician within Fleet Management.
You will be part of a hardworking, supportive team who have a good sense of humour and we also offer a good working environment.
The workshop operates a shift system consisting of an early shift, back shift and weekend working on a rotational basis, therefore it will be necessary for the successful candidate to participate in these working patterns.

Skills & Experience Required
You must have knowledge, skills and experience in the repair & maintenance of heavy goods and light vehicles as you will be responsible for ensuring that the Councils fleet of vehicles is maintained to both DVSAs and Perth & Kinross Council standards.
You will have worked in the motor trade as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic or Technician, and preferably have experience of the repair & maintenance of commercial vehicles, heavy plant and equipment and a working knowledge of hydraulic repairs.
Holding a LGV C+E licence would be advantageous.
You will have the ability to work within a pressured environment and being able to meet own and team deadlines is vital.
You will be a Time Served Vehicle Mechanic and have:
1. Relevant mechanical qualifications required City & Guilds Parts 2 & 3.
2. A current and valid Driving Licence with a desired C+E entitlement but not essential or be prepared to achieve C+E level.
3. Experience of identifying scheduled and unscheduled workloads.
4. Experience in working within a pressured environment and meeting tight deadlines.
You will be an excellent team worker with experience of producing good team results as and when the job demands.
