General Assistant
Permanent - Part Time
Working Hours 10 hours per week:Monday – Friday, term time between 11.30am to 2pm approximately, including 3 days in the school holidays.
Location –St Ambrose Barlow Catholic School, Shirley Road, Hall Green, Birmingham, B28 0 HD
Grade 1 - £23,656 - £24,027 Consultation Grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review.
Cityserve is a Birmingham City Council catering service for school meals providing fresh and nutritious food for school kitchen across the UK, healthy eating is a continuous theme throughout all of our menus, and we are committed to the wellbeing of pupils. As a General Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Preparing, cooking & serving pupil meals
Assist keeping the kitchen clean & tidy.
Assist in keepingappropriate records.
To maintain a balanced diet and varied menus
To be aware of the customer needs and dietary preferences
You will work collaboratively with managers and supervisors to ensure the first-class delivery of food in school kitchens both in and outside of service times.
Previous kitchen experience is essential to this role.
