Job Description
Join the dynamic Alpine Formula One team in Enstone, Oxfordshire, and be part of the pinnacle of motorsport. We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to contribute to our fast-paced environment by supporting our Quality and Manufacturing areas.
The Role:
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will work alongside the entire supply chain and contribute to change and improvement initiatives. The role will be based at Enstone and will involve travel to suppliers and test facilities. You will contribute to improving both the quality of the car on track and efficiency of processes in the factory. The role provides you with the opportunity to collaborate with skilled and experienced team members, whilst enjoying the excitement of being part of the process.
Responsibilities:
1. Work with Quality Control and the internal and external Supply Chain to use best quality principles during manufacture, resolve non-conformances and improve right first time delivered quality.
2. Audit, onboard, and monitor external suppliers ensuring the standard of quality is matched to that internally.
3. Support the Engineering Office to ensure feasibility of design intent through Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities and improve production efficiency by implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
4. Develop and monitor KPIs and metrics to measure and enhance QA performance.
5. Conduct Root Cause Analyses, support actions for fault investigation and implement preventative measures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
1. Previous experience in Quality and/or Manufacturing is required.
2. Understanding of general Quality principles such as Lean, Six Sigma, and FMEA's, ideally demonstrated through a successful history of applying these methodologies to optimise manufacturing processes.
3. A degree or qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, or the Sciences is desirable but not essential.
4. PC literate with good working knowledge of MS Office and appropriate software knowledge.
