My Client is recruiting for an Associate Director Electrical Engineering in the Water Sector. Currently, opportunities are available in Epsom, Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, Belfast, and Glasgow offices. Our Client specializes in all aspects of electrical engineering within multiple challenging and engaging sectors such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development, and Education. Responsibilities:
1. Own and direct teams who undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, to high-quality levels.
2. Define briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
3. Successfully manage time and budgets to key project milestones and programmes.
4. Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
5. Set quality assurance standards in design.
6. Grow, develop, and manage electrical engineering capability within the practice.
Experience and Qualifications:
1. Chartered Electrical Engineer.
2. Electrical Engineering Qualification, ideally a Degree.
3. Experience in owning design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
4. Comprehensive knowledge of electrical design (LV and HV systems), motor control centres/switchgear, electrical installations and systems within industrial/process environments, HAZOP assessments, DSEAR/ATEX installation practice, production of SLD/BCDs, earthing and bonding.
5. Familiarity with current UK design standards, including industry-specific standards and working practices.
