We are seeking a passionate and driven Demand Planner with a solid understanding of the UK FMCG market. Ideally, candidates will have experience in the FMCG or beverages industry, with over three years’ expertise in demand planning. Position Overview You will work to gather, analyze, record, and track finished goods demand within the UK & Ireland. Collaborating with commercial, supply planning, customer service, and marketing teams. Ensuring that the latest finished goods demand plan is accurately reflected in the forecasting system and that changes are well-analyzed to drive forecast accuracy and optimize inventory. Key Responsibilities Process, analyze, and track forecasts from both the sales team and system-generated data to ensure supply planning and goods importation align with the latest demand information. Support the development and implementation of improved forecasting through the S&OP process. Regularly monitor slow-moving and obsolete finished goods, report risks, and actively work with the sales team on resolution. Hold frequent forecast reviews with individual sales team members, proactively identifying, communicating, and addressing significant trends and demand changes to optimize inventory. Build strong working relationships with commercial, marketing, and finance teams. Monitor potential stock-outs due to demand changes or supply delays and take immediate action to ensure product availability. Collaborate with the new product development team to support launch plans and timelines. Lead demand review meetings and assist in conducting S&OP process meetings while publishing regular forecasting performance metrics. Experience 4 years of demand planning experience within FMCG. Strong working knowledge of forecasting and ERP systems. Understanding of S&OP processes and demand planning factors. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong sense of urgency and responsibility. Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Capable of working independently, achieving goals, and meeting deadlines. This is a hyrid role where you will be expected to be in the office 2-3 days a week. You’ll be joining a close knit, supportive team that is on a growth journey. Salary banding is £45,000 - £55,000 bonus and benefits.
