Finance Apprentice
37 Hours Per Week (Monday – Friday)
Fixed Term Contract (18-24 Months)
Rate of Pay: National Minimum Wage
Apprenticeship Start Date: September 2024
Location: Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service Joint Headquarters, Sherwood Lodge, Arnold, Nottingham.
Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) are looking to recruit a highly motivated individual with a passion to improve their skills and knowledge within the finance environment.
The successful candidate will assist the Finance Department in providing a high quality, professional service to employees of Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service.
During the apprenticeship training will be given for the successful candidate to gain experience in all areas of finance services including processing invoices for payment on the financial system, obtaining authorisation for payment and processing Petty Cash returns.

Experience/Qualification
1. GCSE Maths and English Grade 4-9 or equivalent (predicted results can also be accepted if you are still completing your GCSE’s)
2. It would be great if you have experience using Microsoft Office software, but this is not a deal breaker as training will be given!
3. Ability to communicate effectively.
4. Be able to work both as part of a team and independently.
