My client is a Leading Private Debt Fund specialising in direct lending, mezzanine finance, etc. They are a well-backed and rapidly growing organisation with a strong track record of success. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join our dynamic finance team. Although we are looking for experience, we are also considering Newly Qualified Accountants.
About the Role:
The Financial Controller will play a critical role in supporting the firm's financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of its financial reporting. This is a hands-on role with a broad scope of responsibilities, providing a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to the firm's success.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including consolidated financial statements, for internal and external reporting purposes.
2. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
3. Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
4. Prepare and analyse financial forecasts, budgets, and management reports.
5. Conduct cost analysis and identify areas for cost optimisation.
6. Analyse revenue trends and performance drivers.
7. Develop a strong understanding of fund finance operations and interact with fund administrators.
8. Oversee the management of fund cash flows and investor distributions.
9. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., AIFMD, UCITS).
10. Monitor and assess regulatory changes and their impact on the firm's operations.
11. Oversee VAT compliance and liaise with external VAT consultants.
12. Oversee outsourced payroll functions.
13. Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
14. Contribute to special projects as needed.
