If you are a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for somewhere that you want to feel appreciated and part of a team, or you’re wanting to regain your passion for the career you spent so long training for, Hove Vets for Pets have the perfect opportunity for you!
About us
Our practice is based inside Pets at Home on the busy Goldstone Retail Park, giving the team great exposure to new and varied clients. The location of the practice also benefits from being just a short distance from Brighton and the seafront, as well as being opposite Hove park. We are also within easy reach of direct train lines into central London.
We see a real mix of clients, and the majority of our clients are insured, allowing cases to be worked up to a high standard. The bright, spacious, air-conditioned surgery is purpose-built to industry-leading standards and has state-of-the-art equipment.
By joining us, you will be part of our supportive team of 2.5 vets, 2 nurses, 1 SVN (soon to be RVN), 1 practice manager, and 2 receptionists. The whole team is dedicated to providing a superb standard of client and animal care. This role plays a key part within a small, friendly team, so you’ll need to be adaptable, flexible, and a good team player.
About you
Nurses are the heart of our practice and perform an integral clinical role in caring for our patients. You’ll have great communication and organisation skills and take pride in working to a high standard. You will have an interest in and want to learn about the practice as a business, as well as how to motivate a team to achieve their personal and practice goals. The key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the Veterinary Nurse role, delivering excellent patient and client care.
A strong level of general nursing is required, and above all else, you’ll be passionate and dedicated to providing an outstanding service for our clients and their animals. Experience of clinical coaching would also be an advantage but is not essential.
About the role
We understand the importance of a healthy work-life balance, and so we are able to offer you either full or part-time hours depending on what works best for you! There will be time off in lieu during the week, and no OOH.
