Overview:
The client is at the forefront of innovation and one of the world's fastest growing engineering services firms, who are looking for a Systems Architect. You will work in the Integrated Project Team (IPT) engaged in the development of next generation Electronic Warfare/Radar systems.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Lead a multi-disciplinary team to develop Requirements, models and system architectures.
2. Contribute to a clear Architectural Vision, supporting Capability roadmaps, for development of products in the short, medium and long term.
3. Support the continued development of Architecting methodologies in the Systems Engineering Function.
4. Apply System-of-System and product development approaches to ensure alignment and efficiencies across the project.
5. Provide internal consultation and Systems Engineering expertise to support projects.
6. Support design reviews as a contributor and reviewing stakeholder.
7. Engage with customers and stakeholders to elicit system needs and constraints.
8. Derive functional and behavioural aspects of a system.
9. Conduct and document trade space analysis to inform key high-level design decisions.
10. Produce candidate solution architectures and derive requirements at all levels.
11. Apportion and budget performance across a system or system of systems.
12. Work with the Project Manager to estimate the cost based on alternative solutions and approaches.
13. Play an essential role in the broader Systems Engineering team, assisting with process tailoring and the roll out of best practice in MBSE, Systems Architecture and Systems Engineering.
14. Mentoring and coaching colleagues in core System Architecting skills and practices.
Experience:
1. Experience of Requirements Management Planning.
2. Experience of Requirements definition and apportionment.
3. Ability to work at Specialist Level in DOORS.
4. Knowledge of Atlassian tools, Cameo Systems Modeller or MATLAB.
5. Familiarity with EW, RF systems/Radar System design and operation.
6. Ability to liaise with engineers across disciplines.
7. Ability to understand requirements specifications.
8. Experience in systems engineering processes, lifecycle and procedures, including system specification and verification methods and procedures.
9. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with experience of multidisciplinary teams.
