One of the UK's largest and most successful Facilities Management (FM) providers, are looking to develop their Health & Safety resource dedicated against a corporate financial services customer, to help the client's UK estate operate in a way which is safe for all staff.
Working for the service provider, but also with cooperation with the client, you will ensure H&S across 3 main sites, one in London and two in Edinburgh.
You will offer support from a H&S perspective across Engineering Maintenance, Cleaning, Security and more.
The sites themselves are large, modern open office corporate facilities and are very pleasant environments to work in.
Due to the strong support available, we are very keen to recruit a developing HSEQ professional still very much at an entry level, keen to develop their career working for a larger company, specialising within corporate facilities H&S.
We are happy to consider applicants either in or around London or Edinburgh, but please note there will be monthly travel to the opposing site.
Actions will include:
* Lead health and safety engagement within the contract.
* Demonstrate enthusiasm and leadership across your area of responsibility creating a positive culture driving down accidents and raising awareness.
* Lead delivery of H&S into your customer driving compliance and understanding.
* Maintain and support further development of Integrated Management System.
* Undertake audits, risk assessments and establish safe working procedures as necessary.
* Provision of advice on current and forthcoming HSEQ related legislation.
* Trouble shooting, HSEQ and welfare related problems.
* Responsible for the provision of information, training and support in all areas of HSEQ.
* Assist or undertake accident investigations.
* Maintenance of relevant company procedures and documentation.
* Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) risk assessments and management.
* Assist the environmental manager where required.
* Audit of the Permit to Work system and site access-controlled activities.
* Audit contractors.
* Deliver H&S training where required.
We need from you:
* Ideally a Nebosh (or in process of obtaining one) plus any working experience in H&S would be useful.
* A great attitude.
* Willingness to travel monthly to the opposing customer site.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £40,000.00 per year
