Axcis Education is delighted to collaborate with a wonderful primary school in Swindon seeking a Classroom Support Assistant. This rewarding role involves supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs on a one-to-one basis. Additionally, there will be occasions where you will work as a general classroom TA, so confidence in this role is essential. This role would suit someone who is positive, kind, and proactive, with a solid understanding of SEND. We would love to hear from you if you are passionate about making a difference in school life.
Working hours for this role are 8.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday. The daily rate of pay is £93.48.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure a positive and safe learning environment that focuses on the wellbeing of students.
2. Adapt schoolwork to meet the needs and academic abilities of individual students.
3. Effectively minimize and handle meltdowns, outbursts, and disruptive behaviour.
Requirements:
1. Passion for supporting students with SEND.
2. Strong communication and written English skills.
3. Right to Work in the UK.
4. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, either current or can be applied for as part of the process.
