We are working with a well established, medium sized company who are looking for an assistant accountant, who is AAT level 2/3/4 and looking for progression within a successful organisation. This role will report into the Finance Manager and will support two entities within the business. Main duties will include: Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations Accruals, prepayments and journals Closing month end and producing the account pack Doing quarterly VAT return Managing the cashbook and bank account daily Completing weekly flashes and participating in weekly flash calls Managing a team and making sure they meet month end deadlines closing PL & SL Completing prepayments and accruals every month Analysing and commenting on the variances from flash to actual results on the P/L Skills: SAGE accounting experience would be an advantage MS Excel experience Benefits: 37.5 hours per week - across Monday-Friday Flexible start and finish times 25 days bank holidays Parking on site Pension scheme Study support
