Accountant
Peterlee/Hybrid – 2 days a week WFH once trained, 1 day a week WFH during training
12 month contract - 36.5 hours a week with an early finish on a Friday!
07:30-16:00 Mon – Thurs, 07:30-12:00 on a Friday
Up to £20.46 per hour PAYE / Up to £27.49 per hour via Umbrella contract
We’re looking for an Accountant to assist our global Fortune 100 client who manufacturer articulated trucks in Peterlee with their month end routine expertise. Job Responsibilities & Duties of the Accountant:
Month end routine processes, including Prepayments, Accruals and General Ledger reporting
Complex global transactions and Accounts Receivable entries and
Investigate and resolve issues relating to accounting transactions or systems
Collaborating with cross functional partners to ensure robust procedures and accurate accounting records, including budget management
Support external and internal audits, including Sarbanes Oxley controls
Skills and Experience required of the Accountant:
5 years demonstrable experience within a bookkeeping / accountancy role. The AAT qualification would be advantageous but is not essential
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g. you’ll need to use v look ups and create pivot tables)
Nominal ledger experience is desirable, SAP software experience would be an advantage
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good organisation skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
Adaptability and able to fit into a dynamic and fast-moving accounting team and global business
Confident and capable of working both on own initiative and within a team
