About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Chemistry lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, following relevant examination specifications, and adapting to the needs of students joining mid-year by providing differentiated learning materials and flexible lesson plans. Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Chemistry examinations, ensuring they have a strong understanding of assessment criteria and chemical methodologies, and providing targeted support for those joining mid-year by focusing on key concepts and exam techniques Foster a love of chemistry in students, encouraging them to develop their analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and to appreciate the impact of chemistry on society. Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment, and to contribute to the wider academic and extracurricular life of the school, including participation in science clubs and chemistry competitions, with a focus on team integration and collaboration. Organize and lead laboratory experiments, chemical demonstrations, and science-related activities, promoting hands-on learning and scientific inquiry, and providing opportunities for students to showcase their work. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry, including chemical theories and laboratory techniques. Demonstrated ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, including A-Level. Experience in preparing students for GCSE and A-Level Chemistry examinations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and practical skills. Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities, including those joining mid-year. A passion for chemistry and a commitment to fostering scientific inquiry and practical skills. Ability to organize and lead laboratory experiments and chemical demonstrations.
