Farm Mechanic / Heavy Machinery Agricultural Equipment Technician who is a self-motivated, safety-focused team player and is familiar working with large modern arable and root crop machinery is required for a well-established and expanding family-owned food and farming business based in Holbeach Hurn, Lincolnshire, East Midlands.
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates MUST have their own transport as the site is inaccessible by public transport.
SALARY: £40,000 - £46,000 per annum + Benefits (see below)
LOCATION: Holbeach Hurn, Lincolnshire, East Midlands
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Working hours for this role will be mainly 5 days per week, with an expectation that hours meet the seasonal needs of the business.

Working as a Farm Mechanic / Heavy Machinery Agricultural Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance of a large modern fleet of machinery on a progressive cereal and root crop farming business.
As a Farm Mechanic / Heavy Machinery Agricultural Equipment Technician, you will be part of a small, but well-established team where you will be given the opportunity to develop your role as the business also looks to expand.
DUTIES
Your duties as a Farm Mechanic / Heavy Machinery Agricultural Equipment Technician will include:
1. Responsibility for the repairs and maintenance for a large modern fleet of machinery on a progressive cereal and root crop farming business.
2. Working with the farms director and operations manager to manage the machinery, fuels, and consumables budgets.
3. Working closely with the farms team to ensure that machinery is proactively and systematically maintained and ensure records are kept to the highest standards.
4. Developing the workshop systems and procedures in line with company protocol.
5. Managing the stock and sourcing of spare parts and consumables with suppliers.
6. Ensuring machinery and workshop equipment is health and safety compliant.
7. Being part of the farms health and safety team and help drive towards being industry leading.
8. Working with other parts of the business closely to provide support and services; Golf Course, Property, Production.
9. Keeping up to date with modern machinery developments and implement a comprehensive machinery maintenance schedule.
