Saxon Crown Swimming Club is based in South London and is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Strength and Conditioning Coach to assist in the development of our Competitive and Performance Groups (ages 10-15).
About the Club
Our club’s membership has grown to 350 members and the club results at the recent Kent County Championships demonstrate the positive trajectory the club is on. As a result, we are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, inspiring, and well-qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach to assist our Head Coach in improving the technical skills and performance of young swimmers at our friendly, inclusive, and ambitious club.
Our goal is to provide progression for swimmers to achieve their full potential, whether they are just starting out or competing at the highest levels.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will be passionate about developing young swimmers, fostering a love for the sport, and helping them build a strong foundation for future success.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate training sessions for competitive and performance group swimmers.
* Attend team galas and open meets as agreed with the Head Coach.
* Work closely with the Head Coach and other coaching staff to ensure a cohesive training plan for all swimmers.
* Planning training sessions (drills) geared to improving functional core strength, injury prevention, and joint movement in key areas. Deliver the sessions to groups and to individuals on a one-to-one basis to meet their particular needs.
* Provide constructive feedback and support to swimmers to help them improve their skills and confidence.
* Strong attention to detail with administrative duties, including session planning, attendance tracking, and communication with parents and swimmers.
* Opportunities to work with a range of performance groups and further professional development.
* Provide cover for coaches on an ad hoc basis.
* Further opportunities to work with the Head Coach to provide training sessions for other members of the coaching team as required, passing on your knowledge and expertise.
Hours:
* Minimum of 10 hours per week, with potential for additional hours.

* Minimum Swim England Swimming Coach Certificate/ASA Level 2 Coaching Award (or equivalent).
* Swim England Land Based Coaching Certificate.
* Swim England Safeguarding qualification (or equivalent).
