Overview
The Marketing and Communications Manager is a dynamic individual with a proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing and communication strategies across various channels, supporting sales growth, delivering compelling messaging, and enhancing brand visibility. In this role, you will support the Commercial team and assist in developing unique marketing strategies in line with individual response guidelines and Swissport corporate brand identity and governance policies. The role requires writing, reviewing, and editing content, including working with the Commercial team to produce professional bid responses, marketing literature, and presentations to the highest standard, ensuring a cohesive and consistent approach that articulates Swissport's USP and brand identity. The candidate will also be responsible for external communications for the UK & Ireland business across various channels to support the commercial, CSR, and People agendas.
Responsibilities
* Define and enhance Swissport’s brand image in line with corporate standards, highlighting unique selling propositions and values that differentiate us from competitors.
* Support robust sales and marketing strategies to achieve business goals and improve brand awareness, focusing on PR and social media.
* Research and develop marketing communications opportunities and plan and implement successful strategies.
* Prepare professional bid documents and identify opportunities to enhance bid response quality, consistency, and efficiency in line with tender requirements.
* Work with the global team to leverage digital channels to maximize visibility and engagement.
* Collaborate with internal teams to refine and deliver compelling messaging ensuring brand consistency across all channels.
* Support the strategy, production, and delivery of marketing collateral.
* Develop strategies to connect directly and engage with customers.
* Manage external social media communications.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external public relations agencies to prepare, refine, and deliver external communications and updates as required.
Qualifications
* Experience in creating and implementing marketing, external communication, and bid strategies (an understanding of the aviation industry would be a plus).
* Bid Management or Copywriting Experience: Proven track record in crafting creative winning proposals and/or B2B marketing materials.
* Track record of delivering external communications including social media and PR exposure would be beneficial.
* Proficiency and experience using Adobe suite of products or similar.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to tailor communication for diverse audiences.
* Strong understanding of B2B marketing best practices.
* Commercial acumen and the ability to understand business needs and translate them into winning bids.
* Experience working in a process-driven environment, while also being a self-starter and a strong independent thinker.
* Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
