School Estates Manager Up to 36 Hours per week, full time - permanent (latest start time 8am) Grade F (SP 16 to 24) current range £33,417 to £37,536 PA FTE 27 days paid annual leave (in addition to bank holidays) and local government pension scheme. Our school and tuition service, which provides high quality provision for students with social, emotional and mental health needs, is constantly expanding and adapting, in response to increased levels of demand. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and experienced individual to directly deliver a wide range of property/facilities management and maintenance of our school estate. Your key responsibilities will include: 1. Supporting the Head of Business Services for ensuring the safety, maintenance, and security of the Malden Oaks School and Tuition Service across our estate (currently 6 school sites across Kingston and Richmond). 2. To directly deliver a wide range of property, grounds, site management, and health and safety activities, including building repairs, property maintenance, grounds management, and premises improvements. 3. To provide effective supervision of subcontractors and external organisations, who undertake specialist activities across the school estate. 4. To maintain a comprehensive programme of school site testing and inspections to ensure statutory compliance with education health and safety legislation and policies, under the guidance of the Head of Business Services. 5. To ensure the regular maintenance, servicing, and MOT of all school vehicles, and appropriate documentation/records. Including driving the school vehicles as required. This is a pivotal role impacting all aspects of school life. You will be key in ensuring that all of our buildings, grounds, and facilities are maintained to the highest standard for our students and staff. The postholder will have a central base at the Dukes Centre, Kingston Upon Thames, and be required to work on a day to day basis across all school sites (6 currently) in an agile and responsive manner, providing their own vehicle, travelling across Richmond and Kingston. An essential car users allowance, and mileage claims (towards fuel costs) will be provided. The post holder will be entitled to take 27 paid days annual leave, in addition to bank holidays. Annual leave must be agreed and booked in advance, and may be taken in term time as well as school holidays (please note school holidays is a particularly key time for this post holder to undertake premises activities when the school is shut to our students and therefore the post holder would be expected to ensure sufficient working time is allocated during the school holiday periods).
