We are looking for a creative and ambitious midweight brand strategist who thrives on complex challenges, with a proven ability to build trust and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders. Experience in healthcare and pharmaceuticals is essential.
Responsibilities
* Build marketing, brand and creative strategies while demonstrating knowledge of fundamental strategy techniques, types of strategy, basics of insight and tactical planning
* Identify client business problems and look for strategic answers to issues
* Interpret client brand plans and translate these into action plans, developing comprehensive creative strategies based on client needs
* Produce compelling and inspiring insights and briefs
* Keep the creative process on brief and take the client stakeholders along the briefing and creative journey
* Provide strategic feedback to the creative team, ensuring the voice of the customer is at the heart of the work
* Manage the creative validation and concept testing process
* Collaborate with scientific strategists, leveraging their insight and deep scientific understanding to build superior evidence based strategy
* Construct customer journey tactical plans across multi-media
* Manage research and insight design, translating data into compelling insights
* Cross tabulate all research and market analysis to formulate objectives
* Monitor client and competitor activity, keeping on top of market trends, M&A, new product launches, market and brand growth statistics and market financial reports
* Confidently sell the planning tools, processes, steps and methods of the agency both internally and externally
* Support the lead strategist in a workshop environment, playing a key role in break out groups
* Track the progression of projects through the strategic planning process, chasing up outstanding or unresolved issues to ensure work is completed on time
* Regularly collate information from the team on progress of work and reports this back to the leadership teams at regular meetings
* Develop and mentor juniors in the team, working well with peers regardless of seniority
* Partner with lead strategist in strategic process and presents at pitch
* Demonstrate influence and diplomacy in written and verbal presentations - both internally and externally facing
Qualifications
This is a midweight role that would be suited to a strategist with proven experience in healthcare and pharmaceuticals (essential).
You should have:
* Working knowledge of brand positioning methodologies
* Understanding of how brands grow as well as the different strategies and tactics used to drive growth
* A deep love of the creative product and value the craft
* Confident presentation skills and ability to actively participate in client meetings
* Solid experience in constructing and running excellent workshops from large to small client teams, particularly brand and communications planning sessions
* Excellence in PowerPoint, and visualisation of concepts and data - can bring to life a compelling strategic story on screen
* Strong writing ability, and understanding of the value in accurate and well crafted PowerPoint presentations
