Were looking for a dynamic Deputy Director of Improvement to lead our continuous improvement initiatives. We have a vision to achieve excellent patient experience, each and every time. This vision is set out within the Strategy Delivering My Future with our five strategic goals, with associated ambitions, reflecting the scale of our aspirations and a framework to guide our planning and delivery until 2028. The Trust has been on a journey over the last few years towards a positive and supportive culture, in which continuous improvement is a part of everyday work across all areas, and teams feel engaged and empowered to act on ideas and initiate change that will improve patient experience in their area. There have been great achievements, with many projects that have transformed aspects of services and signs of improvement in staff experience. Over the last year there has been further work to achieve greater consistency; within leadership, approach to work and behaviour including MY Values into Action, a new accountability framework, a fresh look at our improvement and transformation priorities and Board development work. To truly shift the dial we need to look at how we connect these pieces of work into one framework that becomes how we all do things around here. This means bringing together approaches to improvement, quality and safety, leadership and culture to deliver our strategy and draw a clear line for teams between objectives at their level and strategic goals, This is an exciting time to join as we commence the deployment of our Mid Yorkshire Management system based upon continuous improvement methodology. This is a chance to lead, influence and shape how we operate looking into the future.,

We provide care and support to over a million people in Wakefield and Kirklees in their homes, community settings and across our three hospital sites at Pontefract, Dewsbury and Pinderfields (Wakefield).
Always striving for excellence, we are at the forefront of innovation and research, and we invest in teaching and the development of our workforce. We live by our values of caring, improving, being respectful and maintaining high standards. We listen and learn because we aim to make Mid Yorkshire the best place to work and receive care. We value diversity and welcome talent and enthusiasm irrespective of age, disability, neurodivergence, sex, gender identity and gender expression, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or other personal circumstances including providing unpaid carers support to someone with a health and care need. As ethnic minority groups, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and people with a disability/neurodivergence are currently under-represented across the organisation, we encourage applications from members of these groups. We have policies and procedures to ensure all applicants are treated fairly and consistently. We are proud of our staff networks - who offer valuable guidance and feedback from those with lived experience. We have a clear vision and you could be part of this! If you share our values and you want to make a difference to the lives of our patients and their families and carers, we would love to hear from you.
