Our client is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Payment Officers to join their team on a temporary basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring timely and accurate financial management across various services. Key Responsibilities: As a Payment Officer, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks essential to maintaining robust financial operations, including: Engagement: Facilitate supplier onboarding and set up processes to establish effective working relationships with service providers. Processing: Handle invoice processing, respond to queries, correct costs, and actively chase suppliers for invoices and credit notes. Your attention to detail will ensure that all financial documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Payment Management: Execute payment runs, process emergency payments, manage cash payments, and oversee savings initiatives. You will work closely with external fostering, semi-independent living arrangements, residential and secure accommodations, as well as payments to carers and hosts for initiatives like Homes for Ukraine. Monitoring Compliance: Conduct compliance monitoring, manage recharging processes, and support accruals to ensure all services are effectively monitored and reported. Work Environment: This role offers flexibility and requires responsiveness to the needs of the service. You will be expected to work in the office for 2 days per week, collaborating with colleagues to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes. Essential Qualifications and Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with financial software and databases is preferred. Basic DBS check is required.Why Join Us?
