As the UK’s favourite property platform, Rightmove aims to give everyone the belief that they can make their move. To help us achieve this, we’re looking for a Finance Assistant – Billing to join our Finance team.
This role is part of our billing team – the engine that powers our revenue recognition, invoicing, and financial insights. You’ll be joining a tight-knit, collaborative group working closely with commercial finance, group reporting, and customer services. If you're curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about finance, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate invoicing, supporting pricing projects, and driving insight across revenue streams. This is a great opportunity to contribute directly to Rightmove’s financial operations while learning and growing in a supportive team.
What you’ll be doing
Supporting the billing team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing across all customer accounts, while maintaining financial accuracy and collaborating across departments.
1. Working with the rest of the billing team to ensure that all customers are invoiced correctly each month and it is accurately recorded.
2. Preparing month end reporting, analysis of revenue and production of KPIs within tight deadlines.
3. Inputting into the midmonth forecasting of revenue sent to key stakeholders.
4. Working closely with the Commercial Finance team to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of price reviews, new product launches and other ad hoc projects.
5. Assisting with the maintenance of customer pricing in the billing system, ensuring contracts agree with current pricing structures and offers and investigating any discrepancies.
6. Raising credit notes including the calculation of credit note values and reporting to the business on the monthly credit note position.
7. Assisting with the migration to new billing systems.
8. Working closely with the Customer Service Invoicing Support team to assist them in responding to invoicing queries.
9. Providing valuable data and insights to our sales teams to help them in their discussions with customers.
We’re looking for someone who
1. Is a team player with an open, honest and can-do attitude, who is willing to ‘muck in’ to ensure success of the team as a whole.
2. Is numerate with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
3. Has strong Excel skills which include lookups and pivot tables.
4. Can prioritise and deliver results to strict deadlines, through a proactive approach and ability to manage their workload.
5. Is curious, with excellent problem solving and investigation skills - and confident in asking questions and utilising the experience of those around them.
6. Has clear communication – verbal and written.
7. Has a continuous improvement mindset, always looking to improve current ways of working.
8. Has a professional and organised approach and is able to review their own work and take responsibility for end results.
9. Is willing to adapt to the constantly changing needs of the team and the business as a whole.
10. Has experience in, and proficient skills in, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint, as well as experience using accounting systems (knowledge of Oracle NetSuite is useful but training will be given on our accounting system).
We would love someone to have any of the following
1. Experience in finance – specifically in an Accounts Receivable and or billing/invoicing role.
2. Knowledge or experience of Finance systems.
